Afrikagrupperna
The solidarity organisation Afrikagrupperna is a membership based organisation working in Sweden and in five countries in Southern Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
About the cake
In 2012 an art event in Sweden caused international attention. At the opening of the World Art Day at the Stockholm Museum of Modern Art, the minister of Culture was asked to cut the cake. The cake turned out to be made to look like a stereotypical African woman, naked. We will not ask for any resignation or public apologies. What we do call for is for the minister of Culture not to dodge the issues.
